I needed some legal documents notarized. When I called I was told that I didn’t need an appointment. I was not told that my business would be conducted while standing in the outer office for all to hear! Imagine having to reach up to the counter to check everything over - all while feeling rushed - like I was disturbing everyone. Maître McCarthy did not even look at me and the receptionist filled out the document that clearly stated that the notary was to do so. Hopefully my documents will be accepted in California. And the receptionist had to push her breakfast bowl out of the way to make room to put the official stamps on my documents.

For buying a property, we used Jennifer McCarthy Notary at the seller’s request. Looking back, we would have booked another notary. It was not a smooth experience. I had to call them few times to follow up on my case and was not provided with the proper paperwork when required. If you want to make an easy and uncomplicated transaction, I would consider hiring another notary.
